CorkGuard™ technology was developed by wine closures specialist, David Taylor, to address the issues that moved some businesses in the wine and spirits industry away from natural cork as their closure of choice.
Originally marketed under the BacchusBarrier™ brand name, the technology was renamed CorkGuard™ in January 2014. At the same time, Bacchus Wine Closures Limited, the company behind the BacchusBarrier™ brand, was renamed CorkGuard (Holdings) Limited.
André Oszmann joined as Chairman in January 2013 and significant new investment, together with a strengthened board has given the company a fresh focus and the vision to be the global leader in cork membrane technology.
